I’m quite opinionated about certain things: little things can really boil my blood.
In this lonely corner of the internet you may find articles about social problems, tecnological woes, and music that really strikes a chord with me.
If you want some rapid inspiration and inspiration, I recommend the following things:
- Listen to Radiohead‘s Kid A – an electronic/ambient concept album that deals with corruption and capitalism.
- Read Philip Pullman’s His Dark Materials – might make you question the validity of religion in the modern world.
- Go watch the film Crash – an insightful, profound statement about racial prejudices and crime in LA.
- Use Flock or Mozilla Firefox, both of which are open source and are helping to keep the internet a constantly redefining place.
- Boycott Encarta and Britannica by using Wikipedia whenever you can. Not only will you always find something new, you might contribute and keep knowledge free.
- Don’t read any newspaper or periodical owned by News Corporation: they’re filthy with corruption and dodgy dealings.
- Have a browse through Alan Fletcher’s The Art Of Looking Sideways. It weighs a tonne, but it never fails to excite me.
